Golden Kings Chapter 1

Alrighty, so I wanted to wait til I didn't totally hate my illustrations in my comic pages to do this, but here you have it, I've broken down the overall Golden Kings story and here's the cover page for Chapter 1


So you wanna start reading Golden Kings!? (pg. 1)

Once I move on to the next chapter I will make a new cover and so on... Eventually I will make a Comic cover for the entirety of Golden Kings but until then, enjoy the individual chapter cover art ^^

This scene is not a specific one... although page 17 of the comic was referenced a bit in the layout. It DOES however have meaning to the comic, but the events have not yet happened... wooooooooo!!!!! (all mystery like) I tried to put some emotion behind each of the characters here: well Jhedira is obviously really excited/happy to support her son, next obvious is Mr Grumpy Kujikana, because he feels put down by his father and overlooked because of his brother. He is supposed to look jealous but almost forgiving because if he ever thought he'd get over it, he might actually get along with his brother! Then there's Mgonjwa, because she is glad to be his support system, but doesn't know if their close relationship (whatever status that is/may become) is going to help or hurt him. And then the main two in the picture here, Nameless is on a mission, determined and in a hurry... and Mohatu is trying to piece together what is going on, and hes mustering the courage to do whatever it takes to figure out what to do about it.... (but that's all I can say here )

I left out mentioning a lion here, see if you can come up with guesses there as to why he's here, although sorry, I still cannot say what is right or wrong... but I'm curious as to what you think the character, and the overall cover means

*EDIT: Hmm reason why Maisha is not here? Because she's been almost something of Mohatu's imaginary friend. The only other who's ever seen her is Mgonjwa but the've never actually talked.. so I didn't feel it necessary to add her on this one. I'm a little saddened but she doesn't mind!
